National Yoga Month- Happy September!

Most yoga practitioners will agree that yoga is so much more than just physical exercise. While pushing the limits of your body, yoga teaches you lessons of mindfulness that spill over in your daily life with a positive impact.

And the beauty of it? You can practice it anywhere.

In 2008, the Department of Health and Wellness officially designated September as National Yoga month- and rightfully so. In these times of crisis, many of us are not getting enough rest and are more stressed than we’ve ever been.

Derived from the Sanskrit word “Yuji,” meaning yoke or union, yoga is an excellent tool for staying healthy- mentally and physically. This month we will be teaching you all about yoga- its rich history, the many benefits for your health, and the different types of yoga you can try!
