We all worry; it’s part of being human. But most of us worry far too much. It can cause us to feel snappy or anxious.
Practicing gratitude is a proven stress-buster. It changes your perspective and helps you see that there is always some good in life, even in tough times.
According to the American Psychology Association, “Anxiety is an emotion characterized by feelings of tension, worried thoughts and physical changes like increased blood pressure. People with anxiety disorders usually have recurring intrusive thoughts or concerns. They may avoid certain situations out of worry.”
A post meditation review.
What is Self-Compassion? How to shift the nasty critical voice.
According to Dr. Frank Niles, visualization works because “when we visualize an act, the brain generates an impulse that tells our neurons to “perform” the movement. This creates a new neural pathway – clusters of cells in our brain that work together to create memories or learned behaviors – that primes our body to act in a way consistent to what we imagined.”

‘Loving Kindness’ is a type of meditation that helps cultivate self-compassion and, in turn, increases a sense of connection and empathy with others.
WHAT IS RESILIENCE? Psychologists define resilience as “the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats, or significant sources of stress—such as family and relationship problems, serious health problems, or workplace and financial stressors. As much as resilience involves “bouncing back” from these difficult experiences, it can also involve profound personal growth.”
